Hogges finish trip with defeat
Central Jersey 2
Bermuda Hogges 0
Technical director Derek Broadley hailed last night's display as the best of the season despite Bermuda Hogges going down 2-0 at Central Jersey.
Goals in either half ensured Hogges suffered their second loss of a three game road trip, but a buoyant Broadley insisted he was proud of his players' performances.
"To be honest it was the best we've played and after the game their coach said a draw would have been a fair result," he said.
"It really could have gone either way. They scored after 30 minutes and in the final minute.
"In the end our inexperience cost us. There were a couple of individual mistakes that led to their goals.
"Individually I thought Freddy Hall was outstanding, Nahki Wells has really come on and Damon Ming was very consistent."
Broadley and assistant coach Maurice Lowe took charge of the team last night in the absence of head coach Scott Morton who had already headed home due to work commitments.
