Willow Cuts and St.George's produced the season's second tie when they finished all square at Somerset yesterday.

Cuts found themselves in the driver's seat, needing only to score six runs off the final over with one wicket in hand.

The home team managed to steal a single off the second ball of the over before Deuntay Darrell smashed a four off the fourth ball to level the two teams and leave Cuts requiring a single for victory with two balls remaining.

However, Cuts failed to add to their total and lost their last wicket on the final delivery tossed down by Oronde Bascome.

Trevor Forth scored 56 off 74 balls while Reggie Tucker added 34 off 62 balls.

Herbie Bascome claimed four for 31 to lead the St.George's bowling. Earlier, Ankoma Cannonier played a skipper's innings by scoring 47 off 56 balls while veteran Ricky (Squiggy) Hodsoll added 39. Sheroy Fubler led the Cuts bowling with four for 20 while veteran Kevin Lapsley claimed three for five.

Cleveland County 100-1

Title contenders Cleveland made short work of PHC at Wellington Oval. The home team dismissed their opponents under the century mark and then achieved their winning objective with nine wickets in hand.

Gerald Simons led PHC with 28 while Tamauri Tucker collected five for 12 to top the Cleveland bowling. In reply, Dennis Musson jr blasted 44 to lead Cleveland's batting.

Devonshire Rec. 175-5

Veteran Ricky Brangman hammered 87 not out to lead Devonshire Rec. to a five-wicket triumph over Police at Police Field.

Police reached a respectable total in 39.5 overs with Gavin Aparcico top scoring with 45.

Devonshire lost their first four wickets for 32 runsand it was then left to Brangman to lead the victory charge.
