Young business moguls raise $500 for Brangman

This summer they joined a "Junior Entrepreneurs'' programme to learn about becoming a business high-flier.

Under the Creative Computer Services scheme they formed a small business, Linstro, and found out about marketing techniques, bookkeeping, and selecting products.

Their merchandise included key chains, neck pouches, painted maps, necklaces, and bracelets.

Proceeds from the sales of their products in St. George's came to $500.

And recently the young entrepreneurs handed over the cash to the Brangman Home, which cares for troubled youths.

Co-ordinator of the programme Mrs. Charmaine Richardson pointed out the youngsters examined all aspects of forming a business.

"They used Microsoft Publisher to design and print their business cards and letterhead stationery as well as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for their bookkeeping and correspondence.'' She added: "Creative Computer Services is pleased to have been part of this wonderful opportunity, both for the residents of the Brangman Home and for the youngsters involved.''
