At least 1,000 mark Palm Sunday with walk
The sun shone brightly for masses of walkers who turned out to mark Palm Sunday and Bermuda's 400th anniversary.
The event in St. George's, hosted by the Bermuda National Trust, also marked the Trust's own 40th anniversary.
The seven mile circular route took in a range of beautiful and historic sites including the Unfinished Church, Fort Albert, and Ferry Point Park.
National Trust director Jennifer Grey said: "It was fantastic. We had a huge turnout, and obviously we were blessed with good weather and that always brings people out.
"We had well over 1000 and I would not be surprised if it was 2,000. There was a wonderful sense of family and friendship. There were lots of people complaining about sore feet, but with a smile.
"One of the things that made it very special was that David Frith, the town crier, came in his full uniform. He called the crowd to attention and played the bagpipes while the whole crowd sang 'Happy Birthday' to the National Trust."
