Leaders Boulevard now have second placed Somerset Eagles breathing right down their necks after the west enders snatched maximum points in this First Division clash at White Hill yesterday.

Boulevard, idle yesterday, still hold down first place but Eagles, who entered the day four points behind in second place, have narrowed the gap to a single point.

In a game that saw tensions running high with both two teams chasing a promotion spot, English referee Peter Spink was forced to send off a player from either side for fighting - Jelahni Butterfield of Eagles and Tareek Webb-Caisey of Parish.

Eagles proved to be deserving winners, snatching victory on Rodre Wilson's goal after 37 minutes. Parish, who entered the contest in third place, four points behind Eagles, fought back late in the game when they created some chances.

St. David's moved above Parish and into third place with this comfortable away win over Southampton Rangers at the Oval.

Derek Lowe and Shawn Williams netted for the home side. Goalscorers for St. David's could not be obtained last night.

Yesterday's other two games were postponed because of poor field conditions. Social Club were to have met Paget at Bernard Park and Prospect were scheduled to play Ireland Rangers at Police Field.
