Politicians too full of vitriol

May 23, 2014

Dear Sir,

Now that Mr Cannonier and Mr Pettingill have quit I imagine Mr Bean thinks he has achieved great things. What he has done is make me wonder who his mole in the OBA was? The fact that he seems to have been given information that other people are not privy to, makes me wonder what kind of regime he would run if he is ever elected to run the country? Will we have secret police watching what we say, what we bank or what jobs we apply for?

Mr Cannonier and Mr Pettingill were disappointing to those of us who felt we needed a change from the toxic administration of the former regime but I wonder who and where were those people who ousted the former premier and her cabinet?

Surely they had the intelligence to see what was wrong and what needed to be done. Have they now decided that more of the same mismanagement will improve their lives? Are they so afraid of victimisation?

Are they so distrustful of their own fellow citizens that they would rather we get even further into debt.

I am disappointed that this country once again has descended to bickering and vitriol. Why can’t we have people who don’t have issues and scores to settle. It is very sad in this little Island that so much animosity exists among those who think they are politicians.
