The Department for National Drug Control (DNDC) is to host a seminar for doctors and general practitioners on the topic of medical marijuana.

The seminar, to be held on Thursday, will be conducted by the CEO and founder of healthcare and policy consulting firm EMGlobal LLC, Andrea Barthwell.

Dr Barthwell, who is also a former Deputy Director for Demand Reduction in the Office of National Drug Control Policy, will make a presentation titled ‘Scientific Developments: The Pharmacology of Medical Marijuana’.

The presentation will take place between 3.30pm and 6.30pm in the first floor conference room at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
