Over 40 youngsters made the trip which saw the Pembroke school contest English opposition in no less than six different sports, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, rugby and netball.

Their combined record was 14 wins, two draws and 15 losses.

Three of the victories came in soccer as the team defeated Dyson Perrens High 2-1, Haywood High 1-0 and Hemd Hempstead 2-0.

They were most successful in basketball, taking six of seven matches, showing a greater adaptation to the North American sport than their counterparts.

However, winning and losing were only ohne aspect of this tour.

"Their attitude and effort have done the school and Bermuda proud said Jon Beard, director of physical education at Saltus.

"They can certainly can hold their heads high after some excellent performances.''
