Dr. Edward Chappell, director of Architectural Research at Colonial Williamsburg will discuss "Using old buildings to teach a more representative history'' and Michael Jarvis, who is now at work on the Trust's book on St.

George's architectural heritage will speak on "Black property owners in St.

George's before emancipation'' and Dr. Edward Harris, director of the Bermuda Maritime Museum: "Tourism potential of archaeology in Bermuda.'' The discussion will take place at the St. George's Town Hall, admission $5, free to Trust members.

*** On Tuesday July 29 there will be a ceremony held to commemorate the abolishment of slavery in Bermuda.

In King's Square, St. George's through dramatic readings, music and dance the historic event will be relived.

Participants will include members of the clergy, Brass Praise, Wendell `Shine' Hayward, The National Dance Theatre of Bermuda, the Mu-en Chorale and the Salvation Army Divisional Band.

You can also visit the burial ground for slaves and free blacks at St. Peter's Church. You can also have dinner in one of the old town's restaurants.
