Mr. Thomas has announced that he is looking for a site west of Hamilton to open a third Four Star Pizza outlet.

But first he has to sell his family-owned United Video Centre, on Court Street.

"I've managed the store for the last five years but I want to concentrate more of my efforts into developing the pizza business,'' said Mr. Thomas.

Four Star Pizza offered the first pizza delivery service in Bermuda when it opened up a site in Hamilton in January, 1991.

Earlier this year it expanded by opening up a second outlet in Flatts. The organisation now employs approximately 70 people.

"I'm very excited about the business and want to devote more time to it,'' said Mr. Thomas, who also manages property and attends to the administrative work for Fred W. Thomas & Son Construction.

He said Four Star Pizza was successful despite the presence of rival establishments.

"They have not made any in-roads. We are the only business to set up purely to deliver food,'' he added.

"The site in Flatts has done well since it opened earlier this year and we're now planning further expansions. We will expand the menu and also deliver to a wider area.'' Mr. Thomas said he was starting to advertise for more staff and wanted them to be fully trained before opening up a new site, although he added: "I'm impatient to open another one straightaway but I need to get a few things sorted out first.'' He said several people have already shown an interest in buying United Video Centre, which has a library of 6,000 cassettes and has 5,000 customers on its computer records.
