anxious to get back to work.

Johnny Leon Trott told The Royal Gazette he will definitely return to driving taxi, but did not know when.

"I'm feeling pretty good, but I can't work right now because the doctors won't let me,'' Mr. Trott explained. "I've got a couple of pinched nerves in my neck.'' Mr. Trott -- who has to wear a brace around his neck -- spent two weeks recovering from the attack on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Despite his experience, Mr. Trott said he was not scared to get back into the driver's seat.

"It was just one of those things,'' he said. "It could have happened to anyone. I still find it hard to believe that it happened to me.'' He also thanked members of the Independent Club whose entertainment co-ordinator, Richard Robinson, presented him with a $300 cheque to help with medical expenses.

Mr. Trott, who was one of the club's founding members 11 years ago, has been affiliated with the club ever since.
