Future uncertain for Lightbourne
Although this season still has a little way to run, Macclesfield Town manager Dave Moss is fine-tuning his squad for next term.
But whether there is a place for Bermudian striker Kyle Lightbourne remains to be seen.
Moss is looking to build a squad capable of making a push for the English Third Division play-offs, but that inevitably means there are winners and losers in his plans.
The winners have been full backs Danny Adams and Steve Hitchen, who both put pen to paper last week on new two-year contracts, and youngster Danny Whitaker, the 21-year-old midfield playmaker who has impressed since making the side this year, also earning a two-year deal.
Moss also plans to renegotiate playing contracts with both his assistant Kevin Keen and the reserve team coach John Askey, with keeper Steve Wilson still to sign the new terms he has been offered.
But Lightbourne could be among those who miss out. Already shown the door have been forward Dick Tracey and local boy Mike Bamber and the fact Lightbourne was transfer-listed by Moss earlier this year would indicate he is not in his plans.
