Age Concern to launch Covid-19 booster shot hotline

Age Concern is to launch a Covid-19 booster shot hotline.

The charity said eligible members of the public will be able to get information on the vaccine and register for the booster from Monday.

Callan Bassett, the organisation’s business development manager, said: “Age Concern’s first vaccination hotline succeeded in registering 492 people for their vaccinations, all of whom are now eligible to receive their booster shot.

“We are looking forward to offering not only our original hotline callers, but all eligible 50 plus members of the public the opportunity to further protect themselves by receiving their Covid-19 booster shot.”

The service is available to people aged 50 or over who have been fully vaccinated for at least six months.

The hotline, at 238 7525, is open between 2pm and 4pm, Mondays to Fridays.
