Jermaine Simons, the firm’s sales manager, said it was hoped the donations from the 2021 calendar would be a help, especially in the difficult economic climate caused by Covid-19.

He was speaking as the firm prepared to launch next year’s calendar tomorrow, with all Rubis gas stations expected to have them by Friday.

Mr Simons added: “Due to the success of this initiative, we have elected to continue with the same format with the 2022 Rubis calendar, to ensure there is a benefit to not only various charities that have struggled with the prolonged pandemic effects of 2021, but also to our valued customers with further fuel savings in 2022.”

The 2022 calendar will feature Bermuda’s “Heroes of the Pandemic – and Mr Simons said the organisations featured would get to choose the charities who benefit.

Mr. Simons, said: “Unfortunately, we couldn’t represent every hero category that helped us navigate this once-in-a-century pandemic, but the selection chosen by the various Rubis service station employees is a fair representation.”
