A pair of town hall meetings have been announced to continue the national conversation on guns and gang violence in Bermuda.

A government spokesman said that the next meeting will be held at Penno’s Wharf in St George’s on Monday.

Another meeting is scheduled for the Dalton E. Tucker Primary School in Southampton on November 17.

Both will take place between 6pm and 8pm and are intended to give the public a platform to put forward solutions to address the issue.

The spokesman said: “Residents are encouraged to share constructive ideas that can help shape targeted actions and improve the effectiveness of community safety initiatives.”

Andrew Murdoch, the Governor, Michael Weeks, the Minister of National Security, and Darrin Simons, the Commissioner of Police, will take part in both meetings.

The town halls follow a public forum held in the wake of the double murder of Nakai Robinson and Natrae Eversley at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street on August 12, and the fatal shooting of Janae Minors in the same area a month later.
