Caesar’s Pharmacy celebrates 30 years
Caesar’s Pharmacy in Sandys is marking three decades of service.
“In a time when many Bermudian and Black-owned businesses struggle to reach long-term sustainability, Caesar’s Pharmacy stands tall as a testament to visionary leadership, community trust and the grace of God,” a spokesman for the firm said.
The company is led by founders Rotimi and Sheryl Martins, a husband and wife team.
“We have become more than just a pharmacy — it is a ministry of compassion, encouragement and hope,” Caesar’s said, adding that Mrs Martins is known across Bermuda, not only as a pharmacist, but also as a Christian leader, encourager and mentor.
Her motto is: “We serve people first — the medicine comes after”.
Caesar’s Pharmacy prides itself on being a nurturing ground for Bermuda’s youth.
Mrs Martins has hired and mentored many young Bermudians, helping them discover their purpose and pursue careers in healthcare and beyond.
According to the pharmacy, many credit her encouragement as the reason they found their calling.
Celebrations began last weekend at the Fourways Inn, where Caesar’s Pharmacy hosted their 30th Anniversary Staff Christmas Gala.
The night honoured decades of service with awards, food, music and dancing. A highlight was the recognition of Norbert Seymour, Bermuda’s first Black male pharmacist, who has served at Caesar’s for 30 years and has been part of its growth since the very beginning.
Other staff with tenure were Michelle Caesar, Maralyn Wales, Sonya Lapsley, Jennifer Hall, Veronica Stevens and chief operating officer Kryzysztof Puciaty.
There will be a community field day and jamboree on December 6 at the Somerset Cricket Club field at 6 Cricket Lane, from 1pm to 5pm.
From 6pm to 8pm in the same location the pharmacy will hold their 30th anniversary awards ceremony.
Caesar’s Pharmacy will also give a ten-minute teaser of a short film directed by Marquedelle Phillip-Rodriguez, featuring ten Bermudians, many of whom are community coaches, athletes, leaders and mentors.
