CedarBridge signature classes give ‘future-focused education’

Crystal Caesar, the Minister of Education, meets with CedarBridge Academy students and staff (Photograph supplied)

CedarBridge Academy students embarked on a language immersion experience in Panama, which was highlighted by Crystal Caesar, the Minister of Education, as she reviewed the school’s signature learning programmes.

Ms Caesar said the programmes showed a commitment to delivering a “balanced, future-focused education that integrates academic excellence with technical and vocational skills”.

She added that the language trip and the school’s various hands-on technical programmes showed how pupils were preparing to compete in a global economy.

Ms Caesar spoke with students about her own overseas experiences as an exchange student, encouraging them to pick up additional languages and develop a global perspective.

She saw video and photo presentations on the Panama trips this year and last year, and reviewed student work, including agricultural show entries and practical demonstrations.

Her tour included the school’s offerings in web production, robotics, technical skills, engineering and construction drafting, environmental management, culinary arts, barbering and personal care, creative technologies, carpentry, automotive technologies, textile marketing, game design and computer science.
