Thankful for response to seniors’ drive-through
Dear Sir,
The first drive-through for gifts was held on December 5, 2020, hosted by Carol Clarke in collaboration with Bermuda Overseas Missions (Charity No 758). The event was held at the grounds of Clarke’s Tuxedo Shop on North Shore Road, Pembroke, between 10am and noon on the above-mentioned day.
The setting was beautifully adorned with silver garland and anguettes in red and silver. We also had three golden anguettes adorn palm trees in the yard.
The seniors were also blessed with silver decorated boxes, which contained the gifts for their reserved friends. This was undertaken with great care and effectiveness. The volunteers did a magnificent job in efficient and controlled support.
Please let me thank Walter Brangman, Lara Woods, Lynn Cann, Renée Wilson, Pam Trott, Beverley Thomas, the Deputy Governor, Allison Crocket, seniors minister Tinée Furbert, Lynn John, Canaan Tucker, Naché Anderson-Clarke, Erin Telford, Segot Singh and three of his colleagues who assisted with the even flow of traffic and security.
Gary Dowling, our Santa, was excellent. Our sponsors this year were exceptional: Aon Insurance, Argus Insurance, Deloitte Ltd, PwC, Samuel Hansen, Charmaine Tucker, Simone Smith-Bean, John F. Barritt and Son, Herbie Siggins, William Storne, BGA, Ascots, Robertson’s Drug Store, Royal Imports, Arnold’s Discount Warehouse, AF Smith Ltd, Lambert and Lambert Canopy Rentals, and Orbis Insurance. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support
Once again, thank you to all. And those of you were on the receiving end, continued blessings be with you all.
CAROL A.E. CLARKE
Pembroke
Ps. Special thanks to Josie Outerbridge and Bea Symonds, David Thompson and Najeé Clarke.
