Two prominent operations in Bermuda’s retail and framing sectors have celebrated their merger with a grand opening.

ESC Limited, well-known for its electrical supplies, lighting, and home decor offerings, now incorporates the specialised framing and printing services offered by Frameworks.

The union broadens the range of products and services and enhances the quality and diversity of offerings on Mill Creek Road in Pembroke.

Lindsay Butterfield, general manager of ESC, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Frameworks team to ESC. Their unmatched expertise in the framing industry allows us to expand our offerings and remain on the cutting edge of the retail industry.”

Keely Horsfall, the previous owner of Frameworks, said: “Because Frameworks started as a family business, it was important for us to feel like we were not forgetting the Frameworks history.

“However, we wanted to evolve Frameworks, and merging has allowed us to do so. We feel so fortunate that our experience joining the ESC team has been nothing but incredibly welcoming and supportive.”

ESC said merging the companies required a more extensive showroom and framing workshop area, which gives customers a behind-the-scenes look into the framing and printing process from within the space.

It added that the growing popularity of its home decor and gift selection pushed the company to extend its offerings.

A spokeswoman said: “The new showroom is a fresh and impeccably designed space that creates a unique shopping experience for customers. Plus, the updated café and extended porch add to the appeal of this destination.”

ESC said it collaborated with 27 Bermudian vendors throughout the project, ensuring the incorporation of local craftsmanship.
