to help improve the organisation's Hog Bay Park camp site and training facility in Somerset.

The money was given by the Bank of Bermuda's Centennial Trust.

It will be used to build a Park Ranger station and additional storage space for kitchen, bath and camp equipment. A common room for scouts and guides is also planned.

And it is proposed to reforest the ten acre waterfront lot with cedar trees.

Chairman of the Bank of Bermuda's board of directors and the Centennial Trust Advisory Committee Mr. Eldon Trimingham presented the money to Chief Commissioner of the Scout and Guide Associations Dr. Vincent M. John.

Said Mr. Trimingham: "The scouts have had a presence in Bermuda 82 years and the guides have been part of our community for 70 years. Many of Bermuda's past and current leaders were scouts and guides.''
