Driver fined $4,500
A 49-year-old man, of Sugar Apple Lane, Pembroke, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to five traffic offences — all were incurred in one day.

He was also arrested on the same day for impaired driving. He was fined a total of $4,500 for the offences.
The court heard from Crown counsel Cindy Clarke that on that day, Police saw Tucker driving recklessly at a high speed on Tribe Road No. 5 in Paget.
Officers stated that Tucker's speeding forced residents to run for safety. One Police officer had to grab a small child and run away as the child was in danger of being struck by the car.
When Tucker was finally stopped, Police noticed he had a strong smell coming from his body, slurred speech and a bottle of alcohol in his lap.
When questioned he said: "My girlfriend is the cause of this."
Tucker was disqualified from driving all vehicles for 12 months.

As Rawlins was leaving the club, the Bootsie's security guards noticed that he was intoxicated and called for a taxi.
Rawlins ignored the security guards and he and his brother got on his motorcycle and rode off. As they were travelling on Front Street, they both fell off the motorcycle and Rawlins fled the scene leaving his injured brother behind.
His brother was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and Rawlins was later arrested.
