But Mr. Pearman, noting concerns about a potential increase in traffic accidents, granted conditional permission only.

Original plans for an underground parking lot have been changed, under the new proposal, to a basement storage area.

And no on site parking will be allowed.

DENTIST SEEKS TO EXPAND PEMBROKE BUILDING PLN Dentist seeks to expand Pembroke building A local dentist is seeking planning permission to expand a Pembroke building to accommodate his practice.

Dr. Clark Godwin has applied to the Development Applications Board to gain approval to build an extension to an existing building on 41 Parsons Road.

The upper level of the two-storey structure will be home to his dental office and reception area. The lower level will contain an apartment.

"I want to increase the number of dental surgery chairs from two to four,'' Dr. Godwin explained. "All of upstairs will be dental and downstairs will be residential.'' In November he received approval from the DAB to change the Pembroke building's use from a house to a dentist's office.

Last year, Dr. Godwin successfully appealed a Dental Practitioners' Board decision to strike his name from the list of registered practitioners after his conviction for insurance fraud.

THEFT, CASH STOLEN FROM SMITH'S PARSONAGE CRM Theft, cash stolen from Smith's parsonage Police are investigating the theft of cash and jewellery from the St.

The property stolen included a man's gold wedding ring encircled with two ridges, an onyx signet ring with a small diamond, a ship's wheel tie clip, a gold square tie clip, and a 24-inch gold rope chain with a longtail pendant.

Also stolen was a gold inscribed pocket watch with a gold chain and a two-inch penknife, and gold man's watch with a white face and Roman numerals and gold strap.

Police are also investigating the ransacking of a Mill Point Road, Pembroke home at the weekend.

The female complainant returned to her residence around 5.30 p.m. on Sunday evening to find clothes strewn about and a quantity of cash missing.

The occupants of a Border Lane East, Devonshire home awoke on Sunday morning to find the furniture missing.

A large white PVC table, a white chaise lounge, two white chairs and a white Rubbermaid table were taken overnight.

Police are also investigating the theft of lawn furniture from a Roberts Avenue, Devonshire home overnight on Saturday.

The theft of six white plastic chairs and a table was discovered early on Sunday morning.
