Hood, BAA in two-horse race
Commercial League Group A title.
The two teams are tied on 32 points, five ahead of third-placed Lobster with three matches remaining.
Hood beat Pot 2-0 on Saturday with Simon Turner and Andy Robinson scoring in the second half.
Wanderers, the defending champions, had to come from behind to beat Ireland Rangers 2-1 after Dennis DeRosa had put Rangers ahead in the 56th minute.
Thomas Gribbon replied in the 70th and 75th minutes for Wanderers.
Kenny Thompson netted a hat-trick, Stevie Dickinson two and Cal Dill one as North Village Rams kept Spinning Wheel on the bottom by thrashing them 6-2.
Quinton Ming and Des Minors replied for the Raiders.
MR Onions remained in the bottom two when they were beaten 3-2 by Mariners for whom C.Lopes, H.Andrews and J.Cunha scored.
In the other Group A match, St. George's All-Stars got by short-handed Fire Service 5-3 as Sinclair Smith continued his scoring streak with a hat-trick.
Delbert Minors and Cal Rayner scored the others while Theron Smith (2) and Troy Furbert replied for nine-man Fire Service.
Forties clinched promotion in Group B after hammering nine-man Devonshire All-Stars 7-2. Carlos Lee, Ricardo Walker and Michael Williams all scored twice for Forties with Prospero Russo getting the other. Johnny Robinson and Stan Bean tallied for the All-Stars.
Second-placed Somerset Extros were the big winners, thrashing Bermuda Pest Control 13-3 as Graeme Outerbridge scored five times, Donnie Simmons and Orlando Simmons two apiece and Everett Wellman, Gladstone Robinson and Kevin Bailey one each.
Valley moved two places off the bottom when they beat Exiles 2-0 on goals from Kevin Isaac (penalty) and Earl Pringle. They moved ahead of Wolves Pack, whose match with Prison Officers was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, and Devonshire Lions who went down 4-2 to Belco. Orel Swan scored a hat-trick for Belco and George Raynor the other while Anthony Amory and Kevin Hodgson netted for the Lions.
