Jonte Smith, Jakai Brimmer, Howard Paynter, Kyle Constable and Duprey Joell all picked up the maximum 45 points after three wins in motocross action at
Smith enjoyed three wins in the pee wee 50 class, while Brimmer grabbed his third hat-trick in a row in the 60cc class which earned him a 10-point lead on Gary Cann who had to settle for second place for the 10th time. In third was Brandon DeSilva.
Once again the 80cc class was the scene of some outstanding racing as Sean DeSilva led the first moto from start to finish and was eight seconds ahead of Steven Panchaud at the end.
Panchaud was running in fourth place in the second moto when he overtook Nesbitt and Easton and then charged after DeSilva, passing him on the last lap to get his 10th win. Panchaud also won the third moto while DeSilva was second and Easton third.
Howard Paynter, returning after the holiday break, wasted no time in getting back to his winning ways as he had three firsts in the 125 C class, his second hat-trick of the season. He moved back in front in the points standings.
Scott Constable survived a scary incident when he and Carlston Burgess locked handlebars and crashed. Constable recovered to finish second overall for the day but Burgess was unable to make the last moto, dropping to second in overall points.
The 125B class was boosted by the return of four-time national champion Aaron Pace. However, he didn't have things his own way and had to settle for second for the day with two seconds and a third as Kyle Constable dominated with three firsts.
Charles Butterfield put his Honda out in front in the first moto with Pace and Constable in hot pursuit. Butterfield kept that lead for 10 laps then fell at Devils Drop as Constable took over to record the win. Butterfield had to settle for third for the day with two thirds and a second.
Duprey Joell was the lone rider in the 250 class.
Racing continues this Sunday.
