Wanderers rock arch rivals
title they lost last season to Robin Hood, when they beat the champions 3-1 on Saturday to open a four-point lead at the top of the standings.
Hood were chasing a victory that would have lifted them back into first place and they looked on their way when Simon Turner gave them the lead in the 17th minute.
But Dean McIntyre tied it up in the 34th minute before Martin Jones made it 2-1 in the 71st. Substitute Alistair Smith cushioned the Wanderers' win with the third goal in injury time as Hood lost for the first time this season.
Hood dropped to third in the standings when Lobster Pot, now the only unbeaten team in the Commercial League, scored a late winner to beat PHC Raiders 2-1.
Enda O'Reilly opened the scoring for Pot after just 30 seconds as Raiders started the match with 10 men. Des Minors equalised as the teams went in at the half tied at 1-1 and it stayed that way until Mark Twite struck the winner five minutes from the end.
North Village Rams missed the chance to close in on Robin Hood when they could only manage a 1-1 draw against MR Onions. They now trail the leaders by seven points.
Fire Service enjoyed a good win, beating Prison Officers 5-0 with R.Thomas scoring a hat-trick and Ralph Scott and T.Bean getting the others.
Vasco Mariners got their first win of the season when they beat Exiles 3-2 in a bottom-of-the-table clash. Michael Bean shot Mariners into the lead in the first minute before Derek Young equalised in the 60th.
The match was headed for a 1-1 draw before three goals came in the last 10 minutes as Duarte DeFrias put Mariners back in front in the 80th minute and Bean extended the lead with his second in the 85th. Craig Tyrell pulled one back for Exiles in the 88th but they now find themselves in last place.
St. George's All-Stars were knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten in the B Division when Wolves Pack defeated them 3-2. Casey Burgess netted a hat-trick for Wolves while Duval Smith scored both All-Stars goals and would have had a hat-trick had he not missed a penalty late in the game.
All-Stars still lead the division by four points, with second-placed Devonshire All-Stars not having a game and Valley in third spot losing 4-1 to Somerset Extros who collected their first win. Lloyd Telford netted twice and G.Outerbridge and Mike Corday one each for the Extros while Kai Simmons pulled one back for Valley in the dying minutes.
Germaine Burt scored three goals and James Raynor and Ernest McCallan one each as Devonshire Lions beat Bermuda Pest Control 5-1. A.Francis replied.
Bottom team Belco defaulted after failing to field a full team for their match against Tuff Dogs.
