Concert Group hires Edward Renner for leadership role

Edward Renner has taken on the newly created position of vice-president, senior corporate counsel at Bermudian-based Concert Group Holdings.

Mr Renner is based in Chicago, reporting to chief legal officer, Matthew Wagner.

As a member of Concert’s management team, his initial focus will be contract review and management, the management and development of internal policies and procedures, and human resources oversight.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ed to Concert,” chief executive officer John Hendrickson said. “He brings more than 20 years of contract management, litigation and compliance function experience to Concert, all valuable skills that will further bolster our ongoing commitment to operational excellence.“

Mr Hendrickson was pleased the momentum the company was establishing was continuing to attract top-notch talent to their ranks.

“We’re developing the deep bench strength needed to execute our vision of creating the most efficient and responsive speciality carrier focused on both the programme and captive marketplaces,” he said.

Mr Renner was previously assistant vice-president, corporate counsel at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association.

During his four years at APCIA, he was responsible for high-volume contract management, legal enterprise risk management and enforcement compliance with APCIA’s insurance-related contract obligations. He also supported the organisation’s human resources function and was a regular presenter at its annual human resources conference.
