Andre Hypolite is on trial for the murder of Nicholas Dill on Boxing Day 2004
A jury is set to be sworn in today for the trial of a man accused of stabbing Nicholas Dill to death at his Warwick home on Boxing Day 2004.
In addition to being charged with the murder of the 43-year-old, Andre Hypolite, 37, is also accused of wounding Mr. Dill's girlfriend, Stacey Pike, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A jury of twelve was picked yesterday, but the case was adjourned for legal arguments before the men and women were sworn in. They heard from Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons that the trial is expected to take between two and two-and-a-half weeks.
Hypolite is represented by top English Queen's Counsel John Perry, while Senior Crown Counsel Paula Tyndale represents the Crown.
