Palace and City players doubling up
With Manchester City hosting both Brentford on Saturday and Crystal Palace on Wednesday in a double gameweek, Erling Haaland is the captaincy pick that the vast majority of Fantasy managers will gravitate towards.
Crystal Palace also double up, travelling to the Etihad after hosting Everton on Sunday, making Ismaïla Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta popular options, although Palace's Conference League involvement means rotation risk has to be factored in.
IJake Fisher's team Bermuda Blue Army leads the way in the RG Fantasy League with 2,234 points, 15 ahead of Chris Alexander with Earth, Wind and Maguire. Louise Payne is third with Stay Ready 2.0 on 2,212 points.
Saturday
Liverpool v Chelsea (8.30am)
Liverpool come into this without Mohamed Salah, who has a hamstring issue. Dominik Szoboszlai was in fine form last week — 13 points with a goal, assist and all three bonus points. Florian Wirtz may be the man to fill the void left by Salah.
Chelsea'have lost their last six Premier League matches and are stuttering towards the end of the season.
Prediction: 2-1
Sunderland v Manchester United (11am)
United confirmed their Champions League place for next season and have been excellent in recent weeks. Bruno Fernandes has been one of the standout midfielders in the run-in. Benjamin Sesko picked up a shin knock last time out but is expected to feature.
Sunderland have little to play for but have been competitive at home.
Prediction: 0-2
Fulham v Bournemouth (11am)
Bournemouth are on a remarkable unbeaten run of ten Premier League games and Marcos Senesi has been their standout FPL asset, with 46 defensive contribution points — more than any other defender in the game. Junior Kroupi continues to be an attractive forward option.
Fulham have scored just once in their last five league matches, which makes backing Bournemouth's defence straightforward.
Prediction: 0-1
Brighton & Hove Albion v Wolverhampton Wanderers (11am)
Jack Hinshelwood has been picking up excellent positions in Brighton's midfield and carries real goal threat. With Wolves rooted to the foot of the form table, this is a game Brighton should win comfortably.
Danny Welbeck is another option here for those without him, given his consistently reliable return of points in favourable fixtures.
Prediction: 2-0
Manchester City v Brentford (1.30pm)
This is the fixture that makes Haaland the week's banker captain. City, five points behind Arsenal with a game in hand, need to keep winning in order keep the title race alive.
Brentford's Caoimhín Kelleher has ten clean sheets this season but faces a tough afternoon. Igor Thiago will be hoping to close the gap on Haaland in the Golden Boot race.
Prediction: 3-1
Sunday
Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United (10am)
Forest are walking a fine line between their European semi-final commitments and the relegation scrap below them. Morgan Gibbs-White has been electric with 43 points across four games. Newcastle are safe after last week’s win and Anthony Gordon's potential return from injury would be a significant boost.
Prediction: 1-1
Crystal Palace v Everton (10am)
The first of Palace's double gameweek fixtures. Oliver Glasner may look to rotate ahead of Wednesday's trip to the Etihad and the Conference League, which makes investing in Palace’s defence — particularly centre-back Maxence Lacroix — a lower-risk option than attacking assets. Lacroix offers goal threat and the prospect of defensive contribution points.
Everton's European hopes suffered a blow after they let in an injury-time equaliser against Manchester City on Monday.
Prediction: 1-1
Burnley v Aston Villa (10am)
Villa have the distraction of their Europa League semi-final against Nottingham Forest, having played the first leg on Thursday. Ollie Watkins has three goals and an assist in his last four matches and is unlikely to be rested entirely, but heavy rotation is possible here.
Burnley have the worst form record in the division over the past ten games but Villa are difficult to trust.
Prediction: 1-1
West Ham United v Arsenal (12.30pm)
Arsenal head into this with the title in their own hands — five points clear with three games remaining. Bukayo Saka returned to the starting line-up against Atletico and immediately reminded everyone of his quality. If he is not rested, he is a strong captaincy option for those looking to chase down a mini-league rival, given West Ham struggle to keep clean sheets.
Viktor Gyökeres continues to lead the line brilliantly in Kai Havertz's absence. Arsenal's defensive assets — Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel — also remain compelling given West Ham’s likely defensive tactics.
Prediction: 0-2
Monday
Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United (3pm)
Spurs have now won two league games in a row and are out of the relegation zone but their season has been a misery, with injury crisis deepening by the week. Leeds, virtually safe and in decent recent form, may sneak a result here.
Noah Okafor has 31 points from his last three games when fit, but a calf complaint keeps him doubtful.
Prediction: 1-1
