Chef Ka’Ri Richards offers a fail-proof method of preparing the seasonal favourite.Hello everyone! Guess what? My parents have asked me to prepare the turkey for our annual Christmas Dinner. This is an easy job for me because I’ve been watching my granny prepare turkeys ever since I was small. So here goes!Step one: Go to the store and buy a 50 to 70 pound turkey.Step two: Take the turkey home and take the plastic wrap off it. Put it in a pan.Step three: Take the liver and put it aside. If you brought stuffing you can put it in the turkey at this point.Step four: If you want to, you can put seasoning salt on the turkey and put vegetables and potato around in the pan.Step five: Put the oven on 350 degrees and let the oven get hot. You have to let the oven get hot and wait for five to ten minutes.Step six: Put the turkey in the oven and let the turkey get hot for 20 minutes then look at it. It should be a brownish colour.Step seven: Let the turkey cook for 30 more minutes then take a fork and prick it. If it makes a crackling sound, it’s ready! Do the same thing with the vegetables and the potatoes. By now your turkey should be dark brown.Step eight: Take the turkey out of the oven and let it cool down before eating the lovely turkey!
