Final chance to load up on City players
With Manchester City in a rich vein of form and playing twice in the gameweek following this one, it is time to start drafting Pep Guardiola’s players in if you do not already have three in your side.
Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland are probably the top three choices to bring in.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting finish to The Royal Gazette’s fantasy league with the top three separated by just 20 points. Jake Fisher’s team Bermuda Blue Army leads the way with 2,182 points, 11 ahead of Chris Alexander with Earth, Wind and Maguire. Louise Payne is third with Stay Ready 2.0 on 2,162 points
Saturday
Leeds United v Burnley (8.30am)
Leeds are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games and will be virtually safe with victory against the team with the worst record in the division over the past ten games.
Goalkeeper Karl Darlow has 24 points across his previous five matches, while midfielder Noah Okafor may be face a late fitness test with a calf strain but has 31 points in his last three games.
Prediction: 2-0
Brentford v West Ham United (11am)
Brentford are just two points off sixth place and in the hunt for European places but they have drawn five and lost one of their last six games, with three of the draws finishing 0-0. That means goalkeeper Caoimhin Keller and defender Michael Kayode are of interest.
West Ham can put huge pressure on relegation rivals Tottenham with a win. Their results in the last ten games put them in the top six in the form table and Konstantinos Mavropanos is one of the game’s in-form defenders.
Prediction: 1-1
Newcastle United v Brighton & Hove Albion (11am)
There is a scenario in which Newcastle can get dragged into the relegation battle. They are eight points clear of Tottenham with four games to play but have lost their last four matches and pressure is growing on coach Eddie Howe. However, the potential return of Anthony Gordon could be a boost.
Brighton are in the top six and midfielder Jack Hinshelwood has been consistent in their good recent run.
Prediction: 2-1
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland (11am)
Only fans of these two teams will be interested in this game, with Sunderland defenders likely to pick up some points.
Prediction: 0-1
Arsenal v Fulham (1.30pm)
It’s hard to see past Arsenal for this despite them having one eye on the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. Defenders are again the way to go as Fulham have scored just once in their past five league matches.
Prediction: 2-0
Sunday
Bournemouth v Crystal Palace (10am)
Bournemouth are unbeaten in ten Premier League games and are taking on a Palace side who travelled to Poland to play Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of a Conference League semi-final on Thursday.
Bournemouth defenders and forward Junior Kroupi could make hay here with Palace coach Oliver Glasner likely to rest some of his best players in advance of the second European leg.
Prediction: 1-0
Manchester United v Liverpool (11.30am)
United can take a step towards finishing the season above Liverpool with victory here. Midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are finishing the season strongly but Lisandro Martinez is suspended and Matheus Cunha and Luke Shaw are struggling with injury.
Mohamed Salah has joined Hugo Ekitike on the injury list and third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman could again be called into action if Alisson is still out injured.
Prediction: 2-1
Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur (3pm)
Villa played the first leg of their all-England Europa League semi-final against Nottingham Forest on Thursday. Ollie Watkins has three goals and an assist in his last four matches.
Tottenham won their first game in 2026 by edging bottom club Wolves last week but lost Xavi Simons through injury for the rest of the season. Dominic Solanke is also a doubt but Destiny Udogie is close to a return.
Prediction: 1-1
Monday
Chelsea v Nottingham Forest (11am)
Forest have to tread the fine line between fighting for safety and playing in a European semi-final. At least we know they will be playing their strongest team here, with Morgan Gibbs-White scoring 43 points in four games.
The feelgood factor may return temporarily at Chelsea with Liam Rosenior sacked and Chelsea making the FA Cup final. With the World Cup coming up, this feels like the time Enzo Fernandez will start to pick up his form.
Prediction 2-1
Everton v Manchester City (4pm)
The pressure is likely to be on Manchester City, who could be six points behind Arsenal again going into this game. Rodri will face a late fitness test.
Prediction: 1-2
