Canopius, the international specialty and property-and-casualty re/insurer, today announced two senior appointments: Dan Bridges as head of claims, Bermuda, and global head of reinsurance claims, and Patrick Cannon as global head of cyber claims.

Mr Bridges will be based in Bermuda and brings more than two decades of London market experience.

He joins from Scor P&C, where he spent six years as head of UK and MEA treaty claims. His previous roles include head of claims at Pioneer Underwriters and head of reinsurance claims at Markel.

Mr Cannon will be based in London and joins from Onda, where he served as chief claims officer for two years. He brings over 20 years of experience, having held senior claims positions at Marsh and Tokio Marine Kiln.

Mr Bridges and Mr Cannon will join the business in August and May respectively.
